Inundations in N.S.W. After Heavy Rainfall. VESSELS RUN FOR SHELTER. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Heavy rain has, been general throughout the State for the past 24 hours. Flood warnings have been issued on the north coast All low-lying areas at Cessnock are submerged and many homes are inundated. Fears are entertained for the safety of two collieries in the Kurri district. Bain still continues in these regions. Flood waters drowned a boy at Bulladelah and also made a number of families at Teralba leave their homes. Cockle Creek overflowed its banks at Wallsend and the storm water canal also overflowed, flooding the low-lying areas. A number of small mines ate flotxled. Shipping has been warned of cyclonic conditions off the northern coast of New South Wales. The south-easterly gale throughout Tuesday night drove many coasting vessels to shelter. The Union Company's Poolta. which left for New Zealand last night, was forced back 10 minutes later. The Christina Fraser is overdue from Newcastle.
