COMPANY AFFAIRS.
QUEENSLAND NATIONAL BANK. A dividend at the rate of 6 per cent per annum for the quarter ended March 31 had been declared by the (Queensland National Bank, Ltd. The dividend will be payable on May 14, and transfer books will not be closed for the payment. This is at the same rate as for the previous quarter, but Vi per cent below the rate for last year, and 1 per cent below the quarterly rate for 1929. NORTH BROKEN HILL. The directors of the North Broken Hill, Ltd., decided to resume the production of zinc concentrates at their mine on April 21. NEW PLYMOUTH (N.Z.) OIL WELLS. The weeklv report from the New Plymouth (N.Z.) Oil Wells is as follows:— Depth, 2007 ft; cased to 1982 ft. Formation sticky mudstone and sandstone in alternating bands.
