MASS PRODUCTION.
WHY NOT DWELLINGS?
The question haa .been raised in the United States ae to whether, seeing that mass production had the effect of greatly reducing the cost of certain makes of motor cars, the system could not equally be applied to the construction of dwellings for the workers.
It is claimed that mass production so reduced the coet of motor cars that many workers now own one, and the argument is that under a similar method of construction it might enable large numbers of people to own their own houses at a reasonable cost.
