GIRL SWIMMER INJURED.
BOATING MISHAP AT KAWAU.
Severe lacerations on the right thigh and right ankle were received by Miss Ruth Wiles, aged 15, daughter of Mr. H. O. Wiles, of 21, Lucerne Road, Remuera, when she was struck by the propeller of an outboard motor boat while she was bathing at North Harbour, K&wau Island, about 11 o'clock yesterday morning. The driver of the boat was manoeuvring in the harbour and did not notice the girl, who was hit when the outboard made a sudden turn
