DUNEDIN CLUB.

A social was held last evening by the Duuedin Club to commemorate the Sold anniversary of Otago, and further friendly feeling between the northern and southern cities. There was a large attendance of members and visitors from all parts of New Zealand, the chairman (Mr. E. C. Cutten) and Mrs. Cutten, as host and hostess, receiving the guests. The gathering took place at the Girls' ; ]liter-house elubrooms, Chancery Cham, i bers, which were tastefully decorated with autumn flowers. Bridge ajnd dancing were provided fpr the guests. Bowring, black georgette, blue and silver coatee; Mrs. Howard Gaudin, black tulle, embossed in gold; Mrs. McGuire, orchid taffeta, transparent tulle hem; Mrs. J. L. Brunton, daffodil souple satin; Mrs. E. A. Allan, gold shot taffeta; Mrs. T. M. Clark, black georgette; Mrs. F. C. Anderson, apple green satin and pink ninon; Mrs. A. W. Smith, black georgette; Mrs. G. Cox, navy blue georgette; Mrs. Little, brown lace; Mrs. Meek, black embossed ring velvet; Mrs. J.
