The Prime Minister, Mr. Mac Donald, Ministers of the Cabinet, many members of the House of Commons, and representatives of the employees in every industry have-signed a manifesto calling upon the nation to observe an "Industrial Sunday" on April 26. The manifesto declares that "a great crusading army is needed to stand for righteousness and truth against the existing social evils and injustices, and for the quickening of real brotherhood in social and industrial life."

A eimilar manifesto drafted ny Lord ' Luke and signed by leading employers describes the' Industrial Sunday as a great constructive effort to urge all individuals to realise the necessity of applying the fundamental principles of Christianity in industry, commerce and finance.

The Archbishop of Canterbury declares that the observance of an Industrial Sunday indicates the spirit which ought to govern all industrial relations. The Church v should do its utmost to make the rule of Christian principles prevail.
