READY FOR RUGBY.

STRONG HAWKE'S BAY TEAM. COOKE TO PLAY FOR HASTINGS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) NAPIER this day. The probability of the H aw ke's Bay three-quarter line in the coming Rugby season being of equal power to that which prevailed in the days of this province's supremacy is strengthened by the fact that Cooke, the All Black, will most likely be seen wearing the magpie jersey this year. Back in Hawke's Bay after a long absence, Cooke is now a resident of Hastings, and it is reliably understood that he has decided to play for Hastings Club, which was captained last season by Grenside. Followers of the code are looking forward to seeing these t\\;o old campaigners in action again as it is fully expected that Grenside will play wing outside Cooke at' centre. Their appearance in these positions in club football would almost certainly mean that they would fill the same places in the Bay representative side.
