It is not generally realised that the countries 'in the Southern Hemisphere import softwood timber, pulp and paper from Canada, Sweden, and countries in the Northern Hemisphere to the value of over £30,000,000 per annum. These supplies, however, are rapidly fwindling, and with a consequently increasing demand the plantations owned by the bond holders of New Zealand Perpetual Forests. Ltd., will naturally increase in value, and should prove a considerable source of revenue both to bond holders and to the Dominion in the very near future.—(Ad.)
