RECORD tiger shark. JAWS OX EXHIBITION. The jaws of the world's record tiger shark, which weighed 9101b, and was caught off Whangaroa by Dr. T. H. Pettit, of Auckland, recently, have been presented by him to the Auckland War Memorial Museum, reported the director, Mr. Gilbert Aiohey, at a meeting of tne Museum Council. The president, Mr. H K. Vaiie, presided. A copy of the first edition of the "Voyage "of La Perouse" had been purchased for the museum library, stated the director. A series of casts of prehistoric human remains had arrived, and had been placed on exhibition. A group illustrating the natural habitat of the native gannet had been completed. It was intended to instal such a group in each section of the native bird hall. r j].c attendance at thj museum for tiip year had been 33,448, with a tot-»I cf 9817 for the past four weeks.
