WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.

DAVIDSON—PHILLIPS. 1 The wedding of Miss Hannah Kubina ' Phillips, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Phillips, of Ponsonby, to Mr. Ihomas Davidson, of Manchester, was celebrated last evening at St. Matthew's Church. Canon Grant Cowen officiated and Mr. Philpot presided at the organ. The bride was given jiway by her father, and wore a gown of ivory satin beaute, embroidered in motifs of silver. A tulle cap trimmed with silver filagree, and small ear sprays of blossom, w ere attached to the embossed silk tulle cil, and she carried a white bridal bouquet. The bride's cousins, Misses Edna and Gwen Mearns, wore in attendance, and wore blush pink and Lido blue geoigette frocks respectively. Small lace bolero coatees were attached to the frocks, the tulle picture hats and shower bouquets toning with their gowns. A little page bov, George Dowrick, was in an orchid mauve satin suit, "with flat white ruffles. Mr. E. B. Binns was best man and Mr. Biehard Phillips groomsman. The wedding supper was served at the Penrith rooms, pink cactus dahlias and tall stands of blue larkspur adding an attractive colour to the tables. The bride's mother received the guesfca in a sapphire blue ninon, with blue shaded floral coatee, and tagel hat to tone. The bride's grandmother, Mrs. Orman, was in navy blue satin with lace panels, and a blue hat. IRWIN—CHAPPELL. Beautiful floral decorations were used in the Dominion Boad Methodist Church last evening, and a full choral .service rendered by the choir, for the wedding of Miss Bertha Doreen Cliappell, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Cliappell, of Valley Boad, Mount Eden, and Mr. James Herbert Irwin, fourth son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Irwin, of Awliitu Central. The Bev. P. B. Paris, of Hamilton, officiated, and the music was supplied by Mr. Joseph Chappell. The bride was given away by her father and wore ivory crepe satin, the waistline being defined by a pattern embroidered in seed pearls. The Iloniton veil Avas worked with sprays of lace flowers, and held by a chaplet and clusters of orange blossom. A sheaf of white flowers was carried. The bridesmaids, Misses Birdie and Jean Cliappell (sisters of the bride), wore opalesque blue satin crepe gowns, with two frills from the waist, forming a basque. Picture hats of beige felt were trimmed with large blue satin bows, and they carried blue and pink shower bouquets. Mr. Charles Tisdell attended as best man, and Mr. Jack Anderson was the groomsman. A reception was held after the service at St. Henry's Hall, where over ninety guests attended. The bride's mother received in a navy and rose floral silk moire, navy Bangkok hat, and carried a rose bouquet. Mrs. T. Brownlee wore a black crepe de chine ensemble and black tagel hat. The wedding of Miss Rita Gollan, elder daughter of Mr. and William Gollan, of Mount Wellington, to Mr. Hector Brooking Taylor, youngest son of Mrs. W. Ttylor, of was celebrated at the Somervell Church. Remuera, yesterday afternoon, when the Bev. W. Piatt officiated and Miss Rceca Pilkington played the wedding music. The bride was given away by her father, and wore dainty white souple satin fashioned on simple lines, 'ilia waistline was made with deep sliurrings and a long white spray of orange blossom was worn on one shoulder. A band of silk lace was swathed over the head iiii'i attached to an embroidered tulle veil small clusters of blossom clamping the ears. She carried a shower bouquet < >i white lilies and carnations. The bride'.sister, Miss Zoe Gollan, was in attend ance, and wore an apricot pink georgelU and lace frock. The skirt, fully flared was ankle length. A crinoline straw hat and shower bouquet of the same tones completed the toilet. A littic flower girl, Marie Blair, wove an Early Victorian frock of frilled apricot ninon, with tulle and flower-trimmed Kate Greenaway bonnet, and carried an autumn tinted posy. Mr. Laurence Knight was the best man. A reception at the Domain Kiosk followed the ceremoil v. The bride's mother wore black floral georgette with a Bangkok liat, and carried a shaded gold bouquet. The bridegroom's mother was in a floral ring velvet gown with a black tagel hat, and carried a crimson bouquet.
