LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
NORTHCOTE AND BIRKENHEAD RAMBLERS. The twenty-first' annual meeting of the Northcote and Birkenhead Ramblers Football Club, which was held in the Foresters' Hall, Birkenhead, last evening, was well attended. The president, Mr. A. E. Greenslade, Mayor of Northcote, occupied the chair. The report expressed satisfaction at the steady progress of the club, which had a membership of 115, and placed six teams in the League competitions, and was the fourth largest club playing under League rules The good work of the coaches was gratefully acknowledged, and thanks for the provision of playing grounds were recorded to the Northcote Borough Council and the Northcote District High School Committee. Receipts totalled £69 7/11, and expenditure £42 10/3, leaving a credit balance of £26 17/8. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. W. B. Darlow; vice-patron, Mr. H. G. R. Mason, M.P.; president, Mr. A. E Greenslade, Mayor of Northcote; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. J. Dean; captain, Mr. H. McLaughlin; delegate to junior management committee, Mr. D. Wilkie; committee, Messrs. P. May, Frank O'Halloran, J. Dakers, D. Wilkie, Reg. Shepherd, J. W. Canty, H. Reed, E. Campbell, Frank Wilkins, H. Wilkins, and the teams' coaches; auditor, Mr. R. J. Moore. Practices are to be held as soon as the secretary ascertains that a field has been secured. The committee was empowered to consider the most suitable manner of commemorating the twenty-first anniversary of the club. CITY ROVERS CLUB. The annual meting of the City Rovers Football Club will take place at Carlaw Park on Sunday week, at 10.30 a.m.
