ROXY THEATRE,

"His First Command," a romance of the United States cavalry, will head to-morrow's new programme at the Roxy Theatre. William Boyd plays the part of a rich young man who enlists as a private.in order to be near the colonel's daughter,' with whom he has fallen in love. She tells him that the romance is impossible, but tlie way in which the young man overcomes his social difficulties and earns the respect of his officers provides an interesting and at times very amusing story. There are some thrilling steeplechase scenes, and a brigade review in technicolour. Dorothy Sebastian makes a charming heroine. The supporting picture is "The Sophomore," a bright college comedy, and some interesting dance and football sequences. Sallie O'Neill, Jeanette Loff and Eddie Quillan head a capable cast. "The Grand Parade," which will have its final screening this evening, is an unusual drama of stage life, with Helei Twelvetrees in the leading role. "Pardon My Gun," a Western comedy, is the supporting picture. CRYSTAL PALACE THEATRE. "Sally," the screen version of the well-known musical comedy, heads the current programme at the Crystal Palace' Theatre. Marilyn Miller, Alexander Grey, Joe E. Brown and Ford Sterling are the leading players. There is an interesting supporting programme.
