The North Shore Pigeon Club flew its second race of the young bird series from Te Awamutu, an airline distance of 80 miles, against a strong north-east wind. !lie winner proved to be Messrs. Pennell's r c c Red Comet, 748 yds; Mr. G. Rawling's b c c Lightning, 720 yds. Next week the club will fly from Te Kuiti, an airline distance of 106 miles. MANUNUI CLUB. The Manunui Homing Pigeon Club continued their north programme with a race from Te Awamutu. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster, and the winning bird homed to its loft at 23 minutes past 12, covering the distance in 1 hour 23 minutes 28 seconds. Results : — Mr. R.
