Husband Asks Court to Restrain
Wife's Enthusiasm.
LAW IS HELPLESS
(Received 11 a.m.) BERLIN, February 22. A man appealed to a Berlin Court to restrain his wife, who is an enthusiastic member of the Anti-Clothes Society which Has an estate on the outskirts of Berlin where the wearing of clothes by members or guests is strictly forbidden. The husband said his protests had failed, his wife telling him that he ought to keep abreast of modern progress. It was healthier and more moral, she said, not to wear clothes. The judge delivered a lecture on the duties of married people and pointed out that a belief in the value of naked life did not entitle the wife to disregard her husband's wishes. '"But how am I to stop her?" asked the husband.
