RIFLE SHOOTING.

AUCKLAND CITY CLUB.

The Auckland City Defence Rifle Club fired a further round in the service shooting championship last Saturday, the practices being as follow: Grouping at 25yds, application, snap'shooting and rapid firing at 200 yds, and application at 300 yds. The leading men set a high standard of shooting, but the actual scoring was closer than is usual under service conditions. Vrjth added handicaps the scores will be carried forward to the 700 yds shoot prior to the Waihi meeting, and will count for a trophy set aside for the grand aggregate of these practices.
