On the course .proper the trestles were wide out. ;• :i Hawkshaw, on the plough, covered a mile nicely in 1.45. ; He is a ligat-weisht possibility for the Cup. . Arrow Lad finished lengths clear .-of Lucretia over six furlongs on the course, run in 1.18. The former carried a big weight and wont I pleasingly. H. Gray will ride liini on Wednesday. Psychologist registered 51s for four furlongs. . Esteem finished; up six furlongs-well in 1.17%. H. Gray will ride him here. +. Fitzquex and . Mount Shannon were responsible for a fair effort over a niile in 1.49. The former pleased most. ' Rory Mor and Mountain Heath finished on terras at the end of six furlongs in I 1-20. Kahikatoa and Laconic • moved very scratchily in covering six furlongs on the plough. They were not timed. Golden Wings displayed his usual 'brilliancy bv sprinting four furlongs in 49 --as —a good gallop. A. Ellis will ride him. Royal Routine and Arajeah werei responsible for a good effort over six furlongs, running the distance in 1.17%. Lie former is greatly improved.
