STEER RIDING A FEATURE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) KAIKOHE, Saturday. The Kaikohe Show was held to-day in perfect weather and with a record attendance. A large number of riders took part In ■steer riding, which provided thrilling entertainment. Horse-jumping events were keenly contested, and in the cattle section Jerseys were particularly strong. Sheep made a good display, and of the indoor exhibits flowers and vegetables were most attractive. The championship awards were :—Hunter : F. Andrewe's MacDUff. Jersey bull: F. Gaede's Quince Tree. Jersey cow: A. Christie's Idalic. Friesian bull: Dibble's Hobson Zozo. Friesian cow: I. Booth's Fairmont. ■ '
