CONTROL OF RAILWAYS.
A TEMPORARY DIRECTORATE,
An alteration in the control of the railway system of New Zealand is proposed. Oil this subject Mr. Forbes state's: — "As to the railways, the Government has decided to givo effect to one of the main recommendations of the Eoyal Commission of Inquiry and place, this national transport system under the control of a non-political board of | directors, as a temporary, measure for 'one or two years."
