STATEMENT BY MOTHER.

The "New York Daily Mirror" printed a Los Angeles dispatch declaring that Aimee McPherson's mother, Mrs. Minnie Kennedy, said that her "hot-gospel-ler", evangelist daughter was not ill in Los Angeles, as had been reported, but that she had been kidnapped in a coffin by.some "Four Square" gospel leaders who were endeavouring to wrest the control of the Angelus Temple from the evangelist.

The "Mirror" added that Mrs. Kennedy "threatened a court action to force the issue to a head. Protesting that Aimee is not ill, she alleged she is being held a prisoner in evil hands, who are endeavouring to drive her out of L<> s Angeles. Mrs., Kennedy said, 'I want to see Aimee and talk to her, hut she is coming to me. I am nob going to her.'"

Diepatch.es from Los Angeles said:—' Aimee was in a mansion adjoining the Angelus Temple, protected by guards, and in a state of coma.

' She was unconscious when taken f rom a train at Pasadena, near Los Angeles, on Saturday, returning from New York, suffering from a recurrence of the nervous breakdown which she developed last summer.

She was to foe taken to the Lake, Elsinoro hot springs, near Riverside, California, but at present was too weak to be removed.
