For the final gallops at Trentham this morning the weather was fine, and there was little wind. The course proper and the outside of the trial grass were used, and the plough, providing somewhat slower going, was also available. Most of the Cup horses have nowr put in an appearance, and several were sent against the watch this morning.

Vertigern reeled off seven furlongs or. the course proper in 1,32, coming home the last half mile in 525. He will be ridden by L. J. Ellis.

Gay Crest and In the Shade registered the best figures, finishing together at the end of seven furlongs m 1.30 2-5, the last half mile in 51s. T. Webster willdefinitely ride Gay Crest.

Cylinder was doing his work better than Couut Palatine at the close of seven furlongs in 1.31 2-5, the last half mile taking 51 2-oe. Cylinder is almost a sure starter, and will be Gray's mount. It is possible that Star Stranger, in this case, will not be saddled up.

Star Stranger and Don Jose galloped yesterday, doing a mile on the trial grass in 1.41. The former was doing it slightly better at the end.

Goshawk was partnered by Xea Lap over a mile on< the course proper, taking 1.47 for the full distance, and 52e for the last half mile.

Nightmarch, picked up by True Shaft, went six fuiiongs, the pair doing the final half in 51s. On the plough was beaten by Cuticle at the end of six furlongs in 1.21 2-5, the last half mile taking 545. Historic went once round on the plough at steady pace, and pulled np all right. He will probably be a starter, but Concentrate, who has been phyeicked, is a certain non-starter. White Fang was a length ahead of Royal Parade, with Admiral Drake two lengths back, at the end of seven furlongs on the grass, the last half mile taking 51 4-ss. Stanclihn, who ran a mile yesterday on the trial grass in 1.43, did half a mile on the same track this morning in 50 3-ss.

Moutoa Treasury easily beat Lordlike over six furlongs, the last half mile taking 51 4-ss.

Oh the plough Open Cheque and Malayan were well matched over five fnrlbngs in 1.4, the last ha'lf nlile taking 50 3-us.

Hunting Call was not bustled to register 1.6 for five furlongs, the last half mile taking 52 3-ss. Lineage did five furlongs in 1.7.

Desert Song was in front of Lady Rene at the end of eix furlongs in 1.19, but the latter was finishing as strongly.

Trishna was not extended in doing seven furlongs in 1.40.

-Adeiphi and Chief Joy were together at the -end of five furlongs on the grass in 1.3 2-5, the last half mile taking 50s.

Avro finished just in front of Appledore at the end of six furlongs on the plough in I.IS 3-5.

Gold Sand beat. Half Acre over five furlongs in 1.5, doing the last half mils in 51 3-os.

Hunting Cry was going easily to register 52s for half a mile alone on the plough. On the course proper Paratoo and Craigavon did half a mile in 49 3-ss.

Cadland a)id Consent were together throughout five furlongs on the same track, doing the last half mile in 50 1-os. Sylvan Dell and Souchong sprinted half a, mile in 50s. Owlsflight and Cricket Bat ran three furlongs on the plough in 40 2-ss. j\foab Queen and Eecl Sun went half a raile together.

The beat .gallop by youngsters was that of Fedora, who ran right away from Ricliborough over half a mile in 48 2-as. Fedora looks a winner at the meeting. Dulen and Hampden, hard at it throughout, did half a mile in 48 l-ss. This was also ,i good effort.

High Comedy finished ahead of Lady Xoel at the end of half a mile in 49 3-5s Psychologist was well in front of Furlong at the close of half a mile in 51s.

Buster Brown and Lucky Moment Sprirtted half a mile in 50 3-ss. Sol von t sprinted about 'throe furlongs, and Korokio two furlongs, but neither was timed.
