HISTORY PRIZE.
AWARD BY SENATE.
The Bowen prize in history was awarded by the New Zealand University Senate to-day to Geoffrey S. Cox, of the University of Otago. Two Aucklanders who competed for the prize, G. A. W. Bennett and J. M. Bertram, were regarded as "proximo acccssit." The subject was a "Comparison between the social, industrial and commercial results to the Empire of the two great wars that ended in ISI6 and 191S respectively."'
