TRADES HALL UPROAR.

MEETING IN WELLINGTON.

MUCH HECKLING AND JEERING

(By Telegraph.-Prcss Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. '.Seldom has. any hall in Wellington been tlio scene of such an uproar as the Sai Hall this evening, when the Second mass meeting of held. When Mr. Semple announced that lie would not attempt to speak against ieering and yells, the audience was fairly quiet, but it was not long before it was almost impossible to hear what was being said. Appeals from the chair for order wore useless. In lulls between outbursts, however, Mr. Semple told those present in straight, forcible language! that he considered the meeting easily this worst he had ever attended. He described the conduct as disgraceful, and gave a warning that any demonstration that was carried on Jn anything like the manner: in.which the meeting was being:conducted would drive every respectable, wan and woman out of the >rganisation that had been set lip,, and ivould alienate the sympathy of every espcctable man and woman in New Zealand. ■, v ; j
