THE QUEUES.
With reference to a recent letter in your paper, complaining of the injustice of the method of selecting those seeking employment at the Labour Bureau, I suggest that as each man applies for work he should be handed a number plate. ' This will eliminate the alphabetical method, which I assume is now in force, and would do away with the queue, the men standing about in orderly array waiting for the next number to be called, which would! of course, be in rotation. The balance of the number plates would be returned when no further-work is offered. AF
