VALUELESS CHEQUES ISSUED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. In the Police Court to-day, Victor Roche Bond; aged 30, a clerk, of Wellington, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment on each of four charges of false pretences by issuing valueless cheques at Wellington, Christchurch and Palmerston North. The sentences are to be concurrent.
