NEGOTIATING STOLEN CHEQUE.

Andrew .yesterday afterndon when he arrested in a.shop, as he was about .to negotiate t ;«a. stolen cheque, David, Macßoger, a man-with several aliases.' ; . ■.-.;;';' * . ' •' . Several Houses had been entered on the pre.vio.us .night, - including Bishops Court, from which, in addition to x 4 in cash, an open' cheque fbr £1 19/ was stoleni 'rNoclue was left behind, and the only; hope of the. police seemed to lie in the possibility of the burglar negotiate, tho ;■ cheque. This he did late yesterday afternoon. Const-able "Andrew, in civilian attirey observed a small hunchbacked man enter a shop/ ilnd,' siippTng alongside' of him saw him produce the stolen cheque in payment ' for ' goods. He promptly arrested'him. MacEoger was to-day remanded.
