Body of Marshal Joffre Resting On Camp Bed.

MILE-LONG QUEUE WAITING.

A queue a mile, long is waiting to file past Marshal Joffre's body, "which is lying on a soldier's camp bed. draped in flags, at the Ch&pel Ecole IMiiitaire. The body is dressed in a 1914 field uniform and wears the Medaille Miiitaire and the insignia of the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour. The long blue cloak of a Marshal of France covers the lower part of the body and the hands rest on the gold hilt of a' sword. Four generals with drawn swords are standing at each corner, and the marshal's standard-bearer stands behind. School children throughout France will to-day receive a lesson on Marshal Joffre's part in the Battle of the Marne, after which they will visit the local war memorial for a commemoration service. Mr. Lloyd George has telegraphed to the Minister of War, M. Barthou, expressing his sympathy on the death of a great soldier, whose calm courage saved the liberties of Europe at the most critical houf in ita destiny.
