DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP
GYLES DEFEATS ERSKINE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ROTORUA, Monday. The New Zealand chees championship was Avon to-day by A. W. Gylbs, after playing-off with A. E. Erskine, with whom he had tied in the final round. This was Gyles' fourth play-off. as the result of tiee in the course of the competition. He has previously been nine times runner-up in the championship, but has never won the title before.
