HORSES FOR THAMES.

WORK AT ELLERSLIE.

THIS MORNING'S GALLOPS.

■ Beautiful weather prevailed this morning for training work at Ellerelie. All the fast work was done on the No. 2 grass track, but with the exception of horses engaged at Thames there Was not much doing. Full Measure and Foot Rule ran home from the five-furlong post in 1.5 2-5. Full Measure was a shade in front, but Foot Rule was going the easier of the pair, at the finish. Good Idea was given a similar task, taking 1.10 1-5. Lady Court showed a lot of speed over half a mile, covering the distance in 49 l-ss. This was her first, gallop for some time and she shaped well. Hampton Park, going freely, got to the en<l of five furlongs in 1.2 4-5. He has improved a good deal during the past month. Sub-Editor was not doing his best to complete a five-furlong task in 1.5. Eager Rose was given useful work over six furlongs, running the distance in 1.23 3-5. Sir Mond and Brampton were companions over a round, which they covered in 1.47 4-5, the last half-mile taking 52* 2-ss. There was little between them at the finish. Bizarro and Taneriri got to the end of half a mile in 51 l-ss. Bizarro pleased most.. Te Money was timed to run the same distance in 52 4-ss. Tambourine and Neil strode over-five furlongs in 1.11. Gay Idea and Leasehold, who are both engaged at Thames, ran four furlongs in 50 l-ss. Billy Boy was 6ent over six furlongs, Lost Comet joining him over the last half-mile, the full distance taking 1.19 3-5, and the last four furlongs 52 4-ss. Koranui (Olive) gave a safe display while negotiating two hurdles, although inclined to jump a bit high at his fences.
