BAN ON PARKING.
EFFECT NOT APPARENT,
FEW CARS ON . STREETS
It is impossible yet to,tell the effect of the .ban on all-day. in, city streets. Tlio ban came into force on Thursday, but most professional and business' men are still on holiday, and until work is resumed in all city offices the parking problem will not be' acute. The parking garages report that so far there has been no rush on their accommodation, and they do not expect a big demand- for space until after next week. There are a few cars parked' in Shortland and Wyndham Streets,, and it does not seem os though the traffic authorities intend to administer the new by-law until the -holidays are over. A few motorists have heeded the ban, however, and several have parked-their cars in Princes and adjacent streets.
