(Received 10 ,a.m.) PANAMA CITY, January 2. A sudden revolt, on Friday overthrew the Government of President Florencio Harmodio Arosertaena, and the capital of the Republic, Panama, passed into the hands of the revolutionary junta, headed by Harmadio Arias. Ten persons were killed and a score wounded in the fighting about the Palace and police station. President Arosemena submitted his resignation on Friday afternooti, naming Senor Arias, of the Bar Association, to form a Cabinet. Following upon this, the Supreme Court appointed Senor Arias as head of the provisional Government. Ife "was also appointed "Secretary of the Government and Justice." This manifesto was signed by representative citizens, and was issued as a pledge by the revolutionaries that they would respect all international obligations.
