TOURNAMENT AT REMTTEBA,

RAIN RESTRICTS PLAY. The projected fifth round in the New Year tournament at Remuera was abandoned yesterday, when rain set in soon after 12 o'clock, and the qualifying rinks were decided by the fourth zound, which took placa in the morning, and the three rounds played during New Year's Day. When the weather showed signs of clearing, it was decided to proceed with the section ties, as these could' all be accommodated on the "cottage" green, whereas the committee of the club axe very anxious to preserve the pavilion green in perfect order for the Dominion tournament, which commences on Monday , week. Games of 15 heads decided the ties, and at the end of the aay the following were the section winners:— Section A.—McGregor, Crowe, Dick, J. F. Hosking, -(Pomaonby). Section B. —Duncan, Perrett, Muston, Amtman (Auckland). Section C.—Wicksteed, Turner, Fookes (Carlton). Section D.—Hobdayi Daniels, Wooller, Caughley (Remuera). Section E.—Andrews, Frost, Robertson, Brown (Carlton). Section F.—McKenzie, White, Jail, Lynch (Ellerslie). Section G.—Oughton, Williams, Randall, Wakerley (Rocky Nook). Section H.—Lafferty, Wheeler, Baker, Rabone (Frankton Junction). These are meeting each other in the above ord'er, and the winning rink should be found in three rounds. If the weather keeps fine the final result will be published in the 8 o'clocte edition.

ST. HELIER'S TOURNAMENT. Sixteen teams contested the full rink tournament held by the St. Helier's Bowling Club. In section A Addison (Edendale) and Bridges (Ponsonby) tied, Bridges winning the play-off. Section B was won by McMahon (St. Helier's). In the final Waterworth, Hunt, Butland, Bridges (Ponsonby) 22, beat Womersley, Hart, J. Diamond, McMahon (St. Helier's) 16. TOURNEY AT WAIUKU. There were seven entries in the Waiuku Bowling Club's open full-rlnk tourney, which was held yesterday. Waiuku, Manurewa and Pukekohe' Clubs were represented. The winner was the Maniyrewa ring (Bryham, Nilo, Pegler, Forbes), who completed the two days' play with 5 wins and no losses. The runner-up was Waiuku (Roscoe, Whiteside, Wright, Birt).
