MISS COPPLESTONE'S EFFORT
25. MILES IN 81 HOURS.

HAMILTON, this day. „ Success attended the efforts of Miss Lily Oopplestone to swim down the Waikato River from Cambridge to Ngaruawahia, a distance of 25 miles. The I swimmer started from Cambridge at 7.20 a.m., and passed under the Hamilton traffic "bridge shortly before noon. Miss
Copplestone arrived at Ngaruawaihia at 3,45 p.iru, 8h 25m after entering the ■water. She looked fit, and after » ba,th returned by car to Hamilton. Miss Copplestone waa aesiated in her swim by the current of the river, which flows at from three to four miles an hour. Miss Copplestone. leaves for Wellington to-morrow, and will endeavour to lower Miss Gleitze's 'record in swimming -the Wellington Harbour....
