FRANCIS CUP FINAL.
(By Telegraph.—Own TAURAXGA, this flay. The final of the Francis Cup tourney was played this morning and provided a great duel between Whakatane (Sloane) and Te Puke (PaMer). Palmer led at the 20th head by 16 points to 12. la the final head TVhakatane- was lying 4 up when the skips changed ends. Palmer failed with both bowls and Sloane drew another, to take the cup 'by 17 points to 10. The Cup was presented to the winners by Mrs. Boyd, the wife ol the president.
