MERCURY MINING.
THE PUHIPUHI PROPERTY. ENGLISH FIRM INTERESTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANG ARE I, this day. •The British Mercury Mine at Puhipuhi, has received from Messrs. Andrew Pickering and Co., Ltd., representing an English mining group, a request for quicksilver for the English market. Before the formation of the SpanishItalian cartel, Pickerings were the largest distributors in the world, handling 75 per cent of the world's production. This group has already obtained quicksilver properties in other parts of the world, and has written asking for details of the Puhipuhi property as it might be able to introduce the necessary capital for its development.
