GOOD BUTTER DEMAND. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, December 31. There is a good demand for butter in London. Prices are:—New Zealand, choicest salted, 116/ to 118/; Australian, 114/ to 115/- The unsalted varieties are quoted at the same figures. Danish butter is fetching 140/. . , The cheese market is steady. Quotations are:—New Zealand, white, 61/ to 62/; coloured, 59/ to 60/: ; Australian, white, 59/ to 60/; coloured, 58/. WOOL AT BRADFORD. Bradford is quietly firm. Crossbreds are slightly more active. 64's are quoted at 22d; 60*s at 20d; 56's at 15d; 50's at 12d; 46's at o%d; and 40's at 9%d. SUGAR BEET. The market for beet sugar is, February, 5/5.
