GRADING RETURNS
Flax grading returns for December in Auckland show a substantial decrease. The actual decline is some 66 per cent. Appended are the figures for December, with those for the same month in the previous year in parentheses:— Hemp.—Good fair, 12 bales (141); High fair, 71 (105S); low fair, 208 (305); common, 61 (107); rejects, 175 (46); total, 527 (1657). Tow.—No.. 2, 31 bales (443); No. 3, 55 (73); condemned, 30 (15); total, 116 (531).
