DIED IN LAUNCH.
EX-RESIDENT OF AUCKXiAJTO, VERDICT OP HEART FAILURE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent)" TAUPO, this day. Mr. John Gallagher, aged 60, was found dead in his launch last evening. He had been out with the launch during the day and some time after he had returned his body was found on board. At an inquest held this morning, evidence Avas given that d'eath was due to heart failure. Mr. Gallagher was & master mariner, and. for ten years was in the employ of the Auckland Harbour Board. Before that he had been a trawler for the City Council and for Sanfords. He left the' Harbour Board to take up the running of excursion and fishing parties at Taupo. Mr. Gallagher was a vice-president of the Auckland Bugby League, and was an umpire for the Cricket Association.
He Jeaves six children, live boys and a girl. His wife died four years ago.
