The King's Speech commented both' on the Imperial Conference and the Round Table Conference, and mentioned the presence of the Duke of Gloucester at the coronation of Ras Tafari. The two cardinal foci of unemployment [ r : arid agricultural depression, however, occupied the major portion of the V address, and, a commission-to inquire into the abuses of unemployment ' insurance'wis promised. - Raising the school age, .trade disputes,- and ' the inauguration of a consumers' council were other points suggested.
