NEW STATION HOTEL.
TRANSFER OF LICENSE. SUBSTANTIAL ACCOMMODATION. " The removal of the British Hotel license from , the temporary premises in Princes Street to the new premises in Beach Road, to be known as the Station Hotel, was granted" by the Auckland Licensing Committee this morning. Mr. J. Terry, who appeared in support of the application, said'the Station Hotel would include 79 bedrooms. All accommodation necessary to comply, with the Act was in order, and the members of the Licensing Committee had, aftsr perusal of the plans and inspection of the site, been satisfied with the- conditions. Sub-Inspector Shanahan. remarked that the police offered no objection, and added that everything was in order. The City Hotels. Police reports on , the conditions obtaining in city hotels, submitted to the meeting, over which Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., presided, contained no complaints. The transfer of the license of the Empire Hotel from M. Gourlay to C. E. Adams was granted.
