ARITHMETICAL PROBLEM.
. "From six take one, and leave twenty." This may possibly'sound a somewhat foolish problem, 'and quite impossible to solve. But it can be done in the following, manner: —Write" the word "scored" on a piece of paper; this is a word of six letters. Take the last letter away by tearing the paper so as to leave'the word "score," which, as you of course know, means twenty.
