AUCKLAND BROADCASTING.
COMPLAINT BY LISTENERS.
ALLEGED INTERFERENCE
A number of listeners in Auckland last evening complained that there was difficulty in picking up any programme owing to crther stations operating at the same time. It was impossible to cut them out, and for that reason it was thought that more than one was broad-' casting on the same wave-length.
The IYA authorities state that their wave-length was tested at intervals last evening, and that it was steady at the usual length of 1131 metres. They did not receive any complaints. They think that perhaps some of the other stations have changed their wave-length. All stations are tested frequently by the Radio Department, and an examination is carried out whenever a complaint is received.
