ARAPUNI REPORT.
PROFESSOR HORNELL'S WORK
FEE OF £4000 CHARGED
INSPECTION OF OTHER SCHEMES.

WELLINGTON, this day.
A good deal of curiosity was shown during the Parliamentary session by members who wished to know the size of the fee charged by Professor P. 6. Hornell, the Swedish hydro-electrical engineer, fdr visiting the Dominion to report on remedial measures at Arapuni.
No financial provision was specifically made on the Estimates, but the "Star" correspondent has ascertained that Professor Hornell's fee for the Arapuni report is. £4000.
In addition to Arapuni, Professor Hornell inspected, and it is understood, reported on the Waikaremoana, Waitaki, Lake Coleridge, Waipori and Ne\v Plymouth power schemes, the Christchurch estuary harbour scheme, and the Kawarau 'gold-mining venture
