ACTRESS MATADOR.
GORED IN BULL FIGHT. NEW YORK, October 3. Senorita Celia Montalvan, pretty Mexican actress, was gored by a bull while endeavouring to demonstrate her prowess * as a matador in the ring at Monterey, Mexico. The infuriated beast inflicted painful injuries on the plucky young woman. Her condition, however, is not regarded as serious. Immediately Senorita Montalvan entered the arena the bull charged and hurled her nine feet against a fence. Though injured and almost blinded with sand, she picked herself up, and gamely clutching her matador's sword, rushed at the bull again. The enraged beast was getting the better of the conflict when a number of the actress , friends leapt into the arena and forcibly carried her to safety. Later the bull was killed by a regular matador. On recovering from her startling adventure, Senorita Montalvan stated that she had no desire to go through a similar experience again.
