LETTERS FROM BOMBAY.
BY STEAMER TO KARACHI. i (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) / GISBORNE, this day. Though a cable on Saturday stated that Lieutenant-Commander Watt would be a passenger on the RlOl, he tokl a Gisborne friend who saw him. on July 10 that he was leaving on .August 1 by a P. and 0. steamer for Karachi, and was taking five men as a ground staff for the Karachi base. His marriage was hastened to enable him to leave, and a letter, subsequently written from the Highlands of Scotland, made no reference to any change of plan. Napier papers state that letters have since been received from him written from Bombay.
