GOLDEN WEDDING.

The golden wedding was held at Waitara on September t± of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Badiey, whose wedding had been solemnised in St. Joseph's Church, Otahuhu by the Rev. Father O'Hara on September 22, ISSO, The gathering was promoted by the family of Mr. and Mrs. .Badley, and included relatives and friends to the number of over 80. There were three present who were at the wedding in Otahuhu, viz., Mrs. John Badley and Mrs. Roberts (sister-in-law and sister respectively of Mr. Joseph Badley), and Mrs, Maher, of Auckland (anicce). Three successive generations were present— their daughter (Mrs. MeXeice), granddaughter ("Mrs. Smith), and great grandson (Athol Smith). The decorations were done with Iceland poppies, a large iloral bell and the cake of two tiers on a golden vase. Prior to the supper a procession was arranged of relatives of whom quite 30 had a place therein the leader being Master Athol Smith (great grandson) and there were also in the number two grandsons (Desmond Russell and Trevor Gillick), and two granddaughters (Eunice Smith and Barbara Gillick). The "Wedding March" was played by Mrs. Faliy. The toast of ' U\c Bride and Bridegroom., was proposed by the Rev. Father Miuogue, and spoken to by Messrs. G. H.
