G.B.S. GOOD ENOUGH.

NO TITLE DESIRED BY AUTHOR,

(Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 29. The attitude of Mr. G. B. Shaw towards titles is conveyed in his secretary's reply to a Scottish correspondent, who wrote saying that Scotland, England and Ireland would welcome with enthusiasm his Royal recognition. "Mr. Shaw has no reason to complain of lack of recognition," the letter ran, "as he has been sounded on the question. He definitely refuses to bear any other title than" the name with which his works are associated."
