DINGWALL ORPHANAGE.
WORK IN FIRST YEAR.
FIFTY-TWO CHILDREN KEPT.
The report submitted at the first annual meeting of trustees of the Dingwall Presbyterian Orphanage shows that satisfactory progress had been made during the past twelve months. The new buildings were opened on February 0 by Professor W. Hewitsoin, and on July 31 there, were 52 children in the orphanage, under, control of the superintendent, Mr. J: T. Dawson, assisted by Mrs. Dawson, and a competent staff of "house mothers.-" Dr. A. B. Jameson reported the health of the children to have been excellent, and the headmastel of the Papatoetoo School,' Mr. G. K. Hamilton, commented upon the satisfactory progress made by the scholars from the orphanage. Regular religious services are conducted 'by the Rev. T. H. Roseveare.
The board expressed its thanks to Mr. C. R. Ford, -who 3iad been largely instrumental in securing a valuable col* lection of Medici prints for the orphanage. The vacancy on the board caused by the retirement of the Rev. D. C. Herrpn was filled by the Rev. I. E. Bertram. The board unanimously re-elected Mi - . J. W. Rvburn, chairman, and Messrs. F. W. Matthews and J. M. Elliffe auditors.
