WHILE FIRE BLAZED.
Brigade Wasted Half Hour Waiting Orders. £10,000 DAMAGE. j SYDNEY, September 26. Five shops and residences were burned ill the main street at Ganmain, . in southern New South Wales. The damage is estimated at £10,000. Ganmain has no fire brigade, the nearest being at Coolamon, an adjoining town. The officials ther® wasted half an hour in telephoning to headquarters at Sydney for instructions.
