SAVING CYCLAMEN SEED.

One is sometimes tempted to save seeds of choice cyclamen, and this may be done if pods have been secured upon the plants. The seed takes a long time to ripen, and the plants should be placed on a shelf near the glass; a sunny position is not necessary. The soil should be kept moist but not wet. The seeds will ripen and the plant's do well on a verandah if the watering is attended to.

THE SEED PODS OF CYCLAMEN. If in the open ground the old flower stems will push the seed pods into the soil, Nature's own way of sowing the seed. Another suggestion arises from this, and that is that the seeds should be sown as soon as ripe: To store them is to cause the outer skin to harden, and germination is very slow.
