FOR REMOVING INK STAINS.
Though chloride of lime, etc., may be used successfully 011 white cotton fablics, it is impossible to use ifc on colours or silks, whereas lemon and salt are perfectly harmless. Cut a lemon in half and dip it in common salt. Hub this well over the stain, squeezing plenty of juice on to it, and adding more salt if necessary. When the stain has disappeared, wash out well with soap and watei. Otherwise it "will be sticky. This will not in any way harm the most delicate materials, and will remove a stain that has been in for some time.
